Julie Evans, PhD, BSc
Julie Evans is a qualified geochemist specialising in the assessment and management of contaminated land. She has over 15 years’ experience as an environmental consultant responsible for the design and implementation of research, investigation and remediation projects, across and array of media, including soil, groundwater, sediments and air. She has completed more than 200 contamination assessments and remediation projects. Julie’s diverse experience ranges from large industrial facilities, such as mining sites, asphalt manufacturing plants, defence sites, manufacturing facilities, railway yards and refineries, to putrescible and hazardous waste landfills, airport sites and a broad range of commercial facilities, such as service stations. Julie is a New South Wales Environment Protection Authority accredited site auditor, and has extensive experience with the New South Wales site audit process. She holds a BSc (honours) in geochemistry and a PhD in environmental geochemistry, both from University of Manchester.
