Alan S. Kao, PhD
Alan Kao has more than 20 years of experience in environmental and chemical engineering, with particular expertise in air quality studies (emissions evaluations, dispersion and receptor modeling and ambient monitoring), environmental due diligence, strategic regulatory compliance, EHS management and auditing, human health risk assessment and industrial hygiene. He has helped numerous clients with consent order and permit negotiations and responses to NOVs, as well as with developing strategic approaches to maintaining regulatory compliance. He has conducted or managed EHS compliance audits or environmental site assessments at several hundred industrial, manufacturing and commercial facilities. His diverse field experience ranges from directing ambient air monitoring studies at airports to evaluating actors’ exposure to theatrical fog in Broadway musicals.
